YES, GOD
What do these words mean? Yes, God. I will explore two meanings of these two words.
Yes, God: Yes, God did it. Yes, God will do it. Yes, God is doing it. Yes, God said it. In these examples, “Yes, God” acknowledges and affirms various actions of God. We say yes, because we believe His truth. We point to God and His sovereignty.
Yes God: This phrase or sentence is used to tell God yes. Yes to instructions given to us through His Word or His Spirit. It is an agreement to be obedient. It demonstrates our willingness to walk with Him. This phrase can also be an invitation to God, a spiritual submission to be used by God. Submission to our commission by Him; a commitment to our calling in Him. In this, we again point to God and His sovereignty as well as to our desire to be obedient to Him.
In both cases, we acknowledge God’s truth and assure our hearts before Him. Our hearts do not condemn us when we walk in truth and do the things that please God through obedience to Him. If we are obedient to His commandment, we know that He lives in us. (First John 3:19-24.)
Yes, God. Let these words be a daily affirmation. Yes, God woke me up. Yes, God has done many wonderful things, and yes, God is still blessing me. Yes, God, let your kingdom come, and your will be done. Yes, God, I want your will to be done in my life, and I surrender my all to you. Let us affirm His goodness, surrender to Him, and give praise to Him; for He has done great things for us, and He alone is worthy of all our praise! Amen!
