VICTORY, HONOR, AND MAJESTY

Experiencing Battles

As long as we are on this earth we are likely to suffer in some way. Second Timothy 3:12 tells us that all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. God is the same today as he was in the Old Testament and His word is still true. He still loves and delivers His children. When we put our trust in Him and follow His word, we have victory in this life. The key is to have faith in God, and live according to that faith in God who is our loving heavenly Father.

ISAIAH 59:19 When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. Psalm 18:16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

We have victory when God stands up for us and fights our battles. As followers of Christ we have battles, but we have weapons at our disposal, most notably the Spirit of God. Our natural bodies and minds are not reliable weapons for these battles.

LUKE 11:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. Romans 8:9 You are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayers and supplication in the Spirit.

God never loses a battle. No one can replace Him. No one is stronger, mightier, or has more wisdom than Him. No one can stand against Him. All praise and glory belong to God. Knowledge of God’s love and power, and faith in Him, cause us to experience life from a different perspective, in the spiritual realm. It is this realm that we experience the ongoing joy and peace of victorious living.

PSALM 104:1 (NKJV) Bless the LORD, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty.

We possess a gift of victory through faith in our heavenly Father, and we recognize that He deserves all praise and that honor, glory, and majesty are His forever. Amen.
