THE LORD IS ON OUR SIDE
Psalm 124:1-8 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” let Israel now say -“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul; Then the swollen waters would have gone over our soul.” Blessed be the Lord who has not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers,” The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
We are living in a time of uncertainty for many people. Many things are changing for many people. There is one constant in life, however: God is a present help in the time of need, and He is on the side of the righteous. We can let our hope rest in him. We can believe that he will set his love on us. If we are in his will, he will move and shift things around in our favor. That doesn't mean that life will be easy, but it means that we can have hope and peace as we trust in him. His power and his dominion are endless, and we are in the palm of his hand. Let us continue to hope in Him. Let us continue to walk as He has called us to walk in Him. If we are not walking according to His will, let us turn to Him. If we turn to Him, He will turn to us. Let us never stop seeking Him, His will, and His way as we submit to Him through prayer. He will hear us when we call Him. Jeremiah 29:12,13 says Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
God does not want us to live in fear, but in peace. Second Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Psalm 62:8, 11 advises us to trust in Him at all times and to pour out our hearts before Him; God is our refuge. God has spoken once, twice I have heard this: that power belongs to God. That lets us know that nothing is done without being in accordance with God’s plan, His purpose, and His permission. Accepting this fact allows us to have peace. Philippians 4: 6-7 tells us Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
God has the power to give us peace during troubled times. Proverbs 18:10 tells us The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. Isaiah 32:17-18 says The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, and secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.
May the Word of God bless you richly as you trust in Him. To Him be all praise, glory, dominion, and power forever. Amen.
