SEEDS OF THOUGHT CAUGHT IN THE WIND
A thought can come to us seemingly out of nowhere sometimes. They may seem to be seeds of thought caught in the wind that eventually land in our minds. They will produce fruit once they become established. How should we handle these seeds? Check the blog for tips to consider.

We need to be careful about the thoughts that are planted in our minds. Sometimes these thoughts are the result of worry and wondering about our circumstances. We need to consider the potential fruit before we take action on the thoughts that come to us.
Consider the source of every seed. Thoughts are the precursor of actions; they produce fruit. When we suddenly have a thought, or even if we have recurring thoughts, we should consider the type and the source of the thought. Eve did not consider the source of the seed that was planted when the serpent asked her a question. When seeds of the wrong source and type are sown and grow, we end up with curses that come up from all kinds of weeds, thorns, and thistles, rather than the blessed fruit that God wants to provide for us.
Genesis 3:1 New Living Translation
The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”
Jeremiah 6:19 King James Version
Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
Deuteronomy 22:9 King James Version
Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
Deuteronomy 28:15 New International Version
However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you: (Verses 16-68 list the awful curses God promised for disobedience).
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 New International Version
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: (Verses 3-14 list beautiful blessings God promised for obedience).
We need to use wisdom, and we must have a desire to be faithful to God and to produce good fruit from our labors. We must seek the Lord for wisdom. David pronounced wisdom and understanding on his son Solomon when he blessed him as he prepared to die; Solomon asked for wisdom when God asked him what he wanted. God does answer; He leads and guides.
James 1:5 New Living Translation
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
1 Chronicles 22:12 New Living Translation
And may the Lord give you wisdom and understanding, that you may obey the Law of the Lord your God as you rule over Israel.
2 Chronicles 1:10 New Living Translation
Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly,[a] for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?”
Hosea 14:8-9 New Living Translation
O Israel,[a] stay away from idols! I am the one who answers your prayers and cares for you. I am like a tree that is always green;
all your fruit comes from me.” 9 Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.
Remember that God holds us accountable for the fruit we produce. We must live righteously to produce righteous fruit. We produce according to the type of plant that we are. Jesus said a good tree brings good fruit. The key is to be in the vine. Jesus said he is the vine, and those who are in him will be fruitful.
Jeremiah 17:10 KJV
I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
John 15:1-5 NLT
I am the true Grapevine, and my father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and prunes he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. 3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. 4 Remain in me and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in mean. 5 Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, Will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:10 KJV
If you keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Trust the word of God. Let God be God, trust Him, and obey Him. What He gives, He gives, and what He takes, He takes. When God speaks, there is no shadow of turning; there is no one to rebuke Him, there is only truth. So, we might as well trust what He speaks. If we keep his commandments, we abide in Him.
James 1:17 KJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Know that God is sovereign; our help and salvation are in Him alone. No one can fight against the power nor the plan of God. So, we do not need to fear the enemy.
Job 5:12 KJV
He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
Job 5:12 New Living Translation
He frustrates the plans of schemers
so the work of their hands will not succeed.
Isaiah 30:15 New Living Translation
This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.
Isaiah 50:7 New Living Translation
Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do his will. And I know that I will not be put to shame.
Isaiah 61:11 New Living Translation
The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world. Everyone will praise him! His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring, with plants springing up everywhere.
Patience is required in this journey; patience for ourselves and with God’s processes. We must not try to out-think or out-plan God. We cannot foreknow what His plans are. He may reveal secret things through His Spirit at times. If He does reveal His plan, we can trust His revelation. Otherwise, we can only trust what he reveals through His word. He will do what He has spoken through His word, the Holy Bible. We do not need to be afraid or doubt. We do not need to seek private interpretation or seek out prophets; He sends His word where He wants to. We do not need to try to figure out what is about to happen; he lets us know his plans, if and when He wants to. Wait on the Lord. Do not rush to find your own answers.
Luke 21:19 King James Version
In your patience possess ye your souls.
Isaiah 64:4 King James Version
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.

Jeremiah 29:11 King James Version
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:11 King James Version
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isaiah 55:11 New Living Translation
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to,and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
Psalm 27:14 King James Version
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Isaiah 40:31 King James Version
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Hebrews 4:12 King James Version
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Deuteronomy 13:4 (KJV) tells us that we must walk after the Lord our God, fear him, keep his commandments, obey his voice, serve him, and cleave unto him. As Christians, this should be our ultimate goal. The Bible does not tell us that we will not have troubles or temptations; it tells us how to deal with them. We are soldiers. We must prepare for spiritual battle, even the thoughts that the enemy attacks us with. 2 Corinthians (NLT) tells us that we must cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. May God help us to grow in Him as we seek Him through his word and prayer. My prayer for all who read or contribute to this blog we be hearers and doers of God's Holy word; this I pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
