We are blessed if we seek God’s path. Psalm 1:1-2 says Blessed is the man who walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 112:7 says He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
Not only are we blessed, but those around us can also be blessed. We can pray not only for ourselves, but stand in the gap and be intercessors for others as well. Psalm 112:4 says Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteousness. Psalm 112:2 tells us that the generation of the upright shall be blessed. God delights in hearing from us. Proverbs 15:8 tells us that the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight, and James 5:16 tells us that the prayers of the righteous availeth much.
Let us keep our focus on Him and wait patiently on Him during times of trouble, remembering that God is faithful. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1) and the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open unto their cry. The righteous cry and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them our of all their troubles (Psalm 34:15,17).
Psalm 34:6 says “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. Such is the relationship between Our Saviour and us, another benefit of fellowship with God our Rock, our Sword, our Helper, the only True and Living God! Amen!
